  Great traditional Italian food and a huge array of cakes and pastries. Very high quality food in a large casual cafe setting. Usually very busy. World's most complicated ticketing/ordering system.

  A Melbourne institution. The current incarnation laces around the Nova cinema entrance and sits atop the local Woollies. Espresso coffee and more European cakes, biscuits, chocolate dipped goodness and pastries than should be strictly legal in one place at one time. The toilets are a bit of a hike, and are shared with the rest if the shopping complex. Congestion is a way of life here. It can be tough to find a seat, and when you do, there's no table service. If you're own, or pressed for time, and / or you have to have a table, I'd recommend Thresherman's on Faraday Street.
